On May 28-30, 2010 Eurojuris Ukraine delegation composed by the president Oleksiy Bezhevets (partner of the Legal Alliance law company) and Oleksandr Onishchenko (the managing partner of Pravochin attorneys-at-law company) participated in the meetings of Eurojuris International practice groups in Marrakesh (Morocco).
This year’s practice groups gathered more than 100 participants from over 20 countries in Europe as well as Australia, Mexico and Hong Kong.

Oleksiy Bezhevets participated in the practice group on tax law and discussed the issue of minimizing taxes and avoiding double taxation of cross-border transactions, using offshore companies and specific taxation agreements with such companies, etc.

Aleksandr Onishchenko, taking part in the section on management of legal practice shared his views on improvement of legal practice, broader range of clients, improvement of service quality, using of lawyers time and its accounting, the pro-bono work and advertisement for legal services.

The informal events within the Moroccan meetings were also very interesting and included introduction to Marrakesh – one of the largest cities in the African continent, visiting Medina (the old city), the central area, the mosque – a symbol of Marrakesh and, of course, the old city market (Souk).

The next meeting of Eurojuris International is scheduled on November 2010 when the Congress in Rome will be held.
